PENNSYLVANIA: Hersheypark and Chocolate World

Hershey ParkPlanning a family vacation to Pennsylvania? If you're a family with kids you will surely find fun activities to explore in Hershey Park. Hershey Park is an amusement theme park founded by Milton S. Hershey in 1927. It is located at 100 W Hersheypark Dr, Hershey, PA 17033.

Hershey ParkTo beat the heat, Hershey Park features nine water attractions in The Boardwalk, eleven thrilling roller coasters and more than twenty kiddie rides like  Tiny Timbers water flume. The thrilling roller coaster rides ranges from mild thrill ride up to high and aggressive thrill coaster rides for adventurous youngsters.

Hershey ParkBecause of this water attractions, it is really ideal to go in this theme park during summer days. Tuesdays and Thursdays are ideal to visit Hershey Park they highly suggest and June and early July are not as crowded as August. Don't also forget to bring your swim wear for they really observed proper swimming attire even for those parents who will just accompany their kids in the play area.

Hershey Park Zoo AmericaBut if you don't feel like getting wet like us when we visited this theme park, you can spend romantic time in there by riding the Kissing Tower with your better half! You could also go and watch their aqua shows featuring sea lions (shows are available only during summer) or visit their indoor attraction like ZooAmerica.

It may not be as huge as Disney theme parks,  Hershey Park does offer activities for everyone to enjoy together!

Hershey's Chocolate World Great American Chocolate TourNear Hershey Park is another family oriented attraction: Hershey's Chocolate World. Just the name itself, Hershey's Chocolate World is definitely a mecca for chocolate lovers. Not only you get to buy every Hershey's candy and chocolate product there is, you can also enjoy a number of attractions. Yours truly definitely enjoyed the free ride Hershey's Great American Chocolate Tour. It is a great simulation of what happens behind the scenes to produce the great chocolate everybody loves.

Hershey's Chocolate WorldWe also watched the entertaining 3D movie they had that featured Hershey cany bars as characters. Another attraction that we availed of is the Hershey Trolley Works. This is a trolley ride around the town of Hershey, PA. It drives by different landmarks like the actual Hershey's Chocolate factory, and some singing and comedy skits from the tour guide. And of course, you get free candies on most stops.
